McLaren Housing Society of BC was founded in 1987. McLaren Housing was the first HIV/AIDS housing provider in Canada. The organization began as a private residence offering accommodation to 5 people and has expanded to provide innovative housing options and support services to over 280 people in 260 homes in British Columbia. We work with low-income individuals and families who are living with HIV/AIDS and are homeless or inadequately housed.
Our Vision: A healthy, responsive and inclusive community for people living with HIV/AIDS.
Our Mission: To provide safe, secure and affordable housing and support services for individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS to increase the opportunity for improved health, wellness, independent living and sense of community.
Our Need: Contributions from caring people to aid us in our efforts to provide service to, and maintain homes for people living with HIV/AIDS.
