Make a Gift in Your Will

Legacy Giving

Making a legacy gift to support housing for people living with HIV/AIDS will have a lasting impact on our organization, our members’ lives and our community.

What is a bequest?

A bequest is a gift made in your will – and a highly effective way of carrying on your support for the people and causes that mattered most to you during your lifetime.  Legacy gifts can take different forms and include gifts through wills, life insurance, charitable trusts, mutual funds, RRSPs and other securities that can maximize tax benefits for your estate.

How do I include a gift in my will?

Whether or not you already have a will, the easiest way to include a gift in your will is to get professional help from a legal advisor experienced in preparing wills. If you need help finding a suitable legal advisor, we will be very happy to help you. We can also help ensure that your gift will be used as you intend by providing suggested bequest wording for your will, which you can bring to your legal advisor.

Please designate gifts to:

McLaren Housing Society of British Columbia
200-649 Helmcken St
Vancouver BC V6B 5R1
BN: 107683328RR0001

To help us plan for the future, please let us know if you have included a gift in your will. We welcome the opportunity to thank you for your legacy. Please contact us at   info@mclarenhousing.org or (604) 669-4090.
