Apply for Housing
McLaren Housing Society manages and maintains its housing waitlist and partners with many community-based agencies that may refer applicants. Applicants are encouraged to contact the society every twelve months to update information.
COVID-19 Update
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, and until further notice, new housing applications can only be accepted by fax at 604-669-4092, or scanned and emailed to: application@mclarenhousing.org
All application updates and check-ins must be done during business hours by telephone at 604-669-4090.

Eligibility for Housing
To be eligible for subsidized housing, the applicant(s):
- Must be HIV+
- Resident of BC for at least 6 months
- Must have a total household income at or below the Housing Income Limits (HILs) set by BC Housing
- Must be 19 years or older
Application Process
To apply for subsidized housing you will need to download the Application Form. Please submit a complete application consisting of the following:
- Completed and signed MHS Application Form
- Proof of HIV+ health status indicating recent CD4 and viral load counts (Medical Info Form attached, p.5)
- Proof of income/assets (eg. proof of MSDSI, 3 months bank statements, Income Tax Return, etc.)
- Supporting documentation from doctors and/or support workers demonstrating the positive impact housing with MHS may have on your health and well-being (optional)
